Roof Measurement Reports in Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay roof reports cover a Gulf metro that is not the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone: shingle neighborhoods, newer tile, and low-slope commercial roofs between the port and the suburbs. Storm surge is a flood topic. The PDF is still a roof measurement.
Three counties, two roof cultures
Tampa proper, Brandon, and much of Pasco are suburban hip roofs, many of them architectural shingle, with tile more common in newer communities. St. Petersburg and the barrier-island towns sit on smaller lots, with older shingle roofs mixed in and wind off the Gulf that homeowners talk about constantly. Humidity stains shingles and grows algae. Staining is condition. We do not score it, and a dark streak will not change the square count unless it hides an edge.
Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco are outside the HVHZ. Contractors who work both Miami and Tampa already know the code conversation changes. Our checkout does not. Premium is the right tier when a tile roof has several valleys; Basic is the right tier when you only need squares on a simple gable. Neither tier replaces a site visit after a tropical storm, especially if the roof is tarped.
What the bay does to the imagery
Afternoon thunderstorms are a weather pattern, not an imagery outage by themselves. The practical problem is tree cover in older Tampa neighborhoods and the tight footprints on the beaches, where a neighbor’s roof or a pool cage can be traced by mistake. Pool cages and screen lanais should be named in the notes if you want them measured, and named if you want them left out.
Commercial roofs near the port, the airport, and along the I-4 corridor are often large and low-slope. Use a commercial order and pin the correct building in a complex. Flood zones and surge maps are published by other agencies. We do not determine them.
Price and the rest of the Florida shelf
A Tampa Bid Report is $16.20 and Premium is $21.83. Same-day here means the 30–60 minute clock. Miami is the HVHZ page. Orlando is the inland page. If you roof the whole peninsula, start at the Florida hub so the regional notes stay attached to the right county.
Questions
Do you cover St. Petersburg and Clearwater, or only Tampa?
The whole Tampa Bay area. Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Pasco addresses are United States orders. This page uses Tampa Bay because the roofs are a metro, not one city limit.
Is Tampa in the HVHZ?
No. Miami-Dade and Broward are the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Tampa Bay orders are ordinary measurement reports.
Can you tell if a Tampa roof is insurable?
No. We measure area and pitch. Insurers decide coverage. Algae, age, and tarps are outside the report.
What does a Tampa contractor pay?
Residential bids start at $16.20. Premium Roof is $21.83. Commercial bids start at $44.10.
