Roof Measurement Reports in Houston, TX

Houston roofs fail in public from wind-driven rain and from ponding on low-slope buildings. A measurement report does not explain a leak. It gives the area of the roof you are about to price, from a city that is too large to walk on speculation.

Shingle subdivisions and low-slope commercial

Master-planned communities on the west and northwest sides are full of hip roofs with architectural shingles, and some tile. Inside the Loop and in places like the Heights, lots are tighter, trees matter, and additions are common. East of downtown, industrial and warehouse roofs are large, flat or low-slope, and they should be ordered as commercial reports. A residential SKU will mis-describe a membrane roof.

Bayou flooding and street flooding are property problems that do not appear in a square count. Windstorm insurance along parts of the Texas coast is its own market, with inspection habits that are not this product. We will not issue a windstorm certificate. Humidity, image dates, and porches

Humidity feeds algae on asphalt. Leave that in the photo album. What imagery does get wrong in Houston is a porch or a breezeway traced into the house, and a commercial canopy left out. Notes fix both. After a tropical system, tarps and missing slopes make older imagery unsafe. Tell us the roof changed. If we cannot see it, we refund rather than measure a blue tarp as if it were shingles.

The Heights and Memorial have more canopy than a new Cinco Ranch street. Open suburban roofs are straightforward. Shaded 1920s roofs are where Premium’s edge list is either trustworthy or, if the oaks win, refunded. We would rather refund than invent a valley.

Do you measure Houston warehouses and houses on the same account?

Yes. Pick a commercial SKU for low-slope sectioned roofs and a residential SKU for houses. Each building is its own order.

Will this report pass a Texas coastal windstorm inspection?

No. We do not perform windstorm inspections or issue certificates for any coastal program.

Do you cover Galveston and Katy?

Yes, as United States addresses, when imagery is usable. This page is written for Houston; coastal windstorm rules are a separate process.
