PDF quantities · not an ESX file
ESX Roof Reports Ready for Xactimate
Estimators ask for an ESX roof report when they want squares, pitch, and linear lengths they can enter in Xactimate. TrueRoofView supplies those measurements in a PDF. We do not generate or attach an ESX file.
What “ready for Xactimate” means here
Xactimate is estimating software, and ESX is the estimate file people trade in that world. Xactimate and ESX belong to their owner. TrueRoofView is not affiliated with them, and checkout never hands you an .esx download.
What you do get, on a Premium roof order, is the set of quantities estimators usually key in by hand: roof squares, pitch, and lengths for ridges, hips, valleys, rakes, and eaves. Basic stops at area, predominant pitch, and squares. If your macro or template expects a diagram and line lengths, order Premium, not Basic. The sample is the layout to show your desk before you change a company habit.
What you still do inside Xactimate
Item codes, price lists, waste, steep charges, and overhead belong to your estimate, not to our PDF. We do not assign price-list codes, and we do not calculate a claim total. Two estimators can take the same squares and write different estimates because the carrier price list and the material are theirs.
When the PDF has a total area, it reprints that area as a waste table from 0–20% so you can see the range. It is not a required factor. The sample notes say 10–15% is a common estimating band for a hip roof with valleys, not a rule.
A practical way to use the PDF
Pin the correct building, and use the notes field for a detached garage or an addition you want included. Those structures change the estimate and are easy to miss from a zoomed-out image. When the PDF arrives, read squares and predominant pitch first, then the linear lengths, then apply your own price list.
Premium Roof is $21.83. A commercial premium, at $72.00, is the closer match for a low-slope sectioned building than a house SKU. Turnaround is still 30–60 minutes or free. If you were comparing vendors mainly for an ESX export, read the limit on the EagleView alternative page before you drop an integration you rely on.
Limits that matter on a claim
Aerial geometry does not document hail bruises, creased shingles, or a roof-to-wall connection. If the assignment is condition, you still need photos and a site visit. Our file will not satisfy a form we do not fill out.
Imagery can be older than the last reroof. Check the building you pinned. If the roof is covered by trees or a tarp, say so in the notes; if we cannot measure, we refund under the guarantee instead of guessing at quantities you would type into an estimate.

Questions
Do you deliver an ESX file?
No. The deliverable is a PDF measurement report. You enter the quantities into Xactimate or any other estimating tool yourself.
Which report should a Xactimate user order?
Premium Roof ($21.83) when you need edge lengths and facet detail. Basic ($16.20) when you only need area, squares, and predominant pitch.
Will the PDF include a claim total?
No. We do not price line items or apply a carrier price list. The file is geometry for your estimate.
How fast can I get the numbers?
Most PDFs are delivered 30–60 minutes after payment. The 60-minute guarantee is in our refund policy, with exceptions when imagery cannot support a measure.
