Aerial Roof Measurement Reports

An aerial roof measurement report gives you roof area, squares, and pitch from imagery, without sending someone up the ladder for a bid. TrueRoofView delivers that file as a PDF, usually in 30–60 minutes.

What this report is

We measure from aerial and satellite imagery. You type a United States address, confirm the building on the map, and pay per report. There is no site visit in a standard order, and we do not fly a drone to the property.

The result is an estimating document: how much roof surface there is, how steep it is, and, on a Premium order, how the edges break down. It is not a leak inspection, a remaining-life opinion, or a code sign-off. Terms say the same thing: verify critical dimensions on site before you buy materials.

What arrives in the PDF

The Bid Report (Basic) at $16.20 is the short version: total roof area, predominant pitch, and squares (area divided by 100). Premium Roof at $21.83 is the report most contractors order when the roof is more than a simple gable. The public sample report shows that layout on a fictional home: facet pitch, ridges, hips, valleys, rakes, eaves, a waste table from 0–20%, and a plan. Street address withheld, on purpose.

Walls, full-house, and commercial buildings are separate products, starting at $36.00 for walls and $44.10 for a commercial bid. The pricing page is the full menu. A 3D tier is listed there as Premium measurements plus a 3D model.

Who orders aerial measurements

Roofing contractors use them to bid a job the same day the homeowner calls. Estimators use the squares and edge lengths when they build a material list. Property managers use them when a low-slope building is too large to walk for a first number. Adjusters and restoration companies sometimes order geometry for a scope; the report still does not decide coverage.

If you only need a rough outline for your own curiosity, the Google Earth measuring guide explains what a screen trace can and cannot tell you. For a number you will put on a proposal, order the PDF.

Coverage and delivery

Address search on the order form is limited to the United States. We take orders nationwide across the US, anywhere we can get clear aerial imagery. Snow, heavy tree cover, and a roof hidden by construction can make a building unmeasurable. When that happens we say so and refund the order in full, which is spelled out in the delivery guarantee.

The clock starts when payment is confirmed. Most files go out in 30–60 minutes. If we miss 60 minutes on a standard order, the report is free and you still receive it when it is done. Create an account, pin the roof, and check out. How it works is the five-step version.

Questions

What is an aerial roof measurement report?

It is a PDF of roof area, squares, and pitch measured from aerial and satellite imagery. Premium reports add facet detail and edge lengths. It is an estimate for bidding, not a roof inspection.

How fast is the PDF delivered?

Most reports are delivered within 30–60 minutes of payment. If a standard order is not delivered within 60 minutes, you are entitled to a full refund and you still keep the report.

Do you measure anywhere in the United States?

Yes. We accept United States addresses nationwide, anywhere clear aerial imagery lets us see the roof. If imagery is blocked, the order is refunded.

How much does an aerial roof report cost?

The residential Bid Report is $16.20. Premium Roof is $21.83. Commercial bids start at $44.10. You pay per report, with no subscription.
