Snow changes the calendar

Roof Measurement Reports in Minnesota

Minnesota roof measurement reports are limited by snow more than by distance. The Twin Cities have the city page. Northern lake country is steeper, snowier, and just as unwilling to be traced through a drift.

The Twin Cities

Minneapolis covers Minneapolis and St. Paul: ice-dam context without an ice-barrier specification, alley garages, and the advice to order when the shingles are actually visible. If your work is in the metro, use that page. This hub will not rephrase it.

South, north, and the lake cabin

Southern Minnesota farmland is closer to the Iowa and Nebraska hail-and-shingle pattern, with less canopy and simpler roofs. Northern Minnesota and the lake country add snow depth, steeper cabins, and roofs that stay white longer. A cabin with several dormers is a Premium candidate. A simple farm gable may be Basic. Neither is a snow-load calc. We will not tell you the design ground snow for a county. Lake cabins also collect screened porches and bunkhouse roofs on the same parcel. List the ones you want measured, or the PDF will follow the pin and nothing else.

Metal roofs on agricultural buildings and some cabins are geometry: area, pitch, edges. They are not a standing-seam shop drawing. If summer imagery exists and winter imagery is a white rectangle, the summer image is the one a measurement can use. If every frame is buried, the order is refunded.

Fees and the neighboring cold city

Prices stay $16.20 and $21.83. Chicago is the other cold-climate page, with more flat roof mixed into the city. Delivery is 30–60 minutes only after a measurable image, not after a thaw we do not control.

Questions

Do you measure Duluth and lake cabins?

Yes, when the roof is visible. Minneapolis is the only city page. Northern addresses follow the same snow rule.

Do you design ice-dam protection or snow loads?

No. We report pitch and lengths. Detailing and structural loads are outside the product.

Is winter ordering pointless?

It is pointless when the edges are buried. It is fine when the roof is blown clear or the usable image is from a warmer month.

What is the price?

A Bid Report is $16.20 and Premium is $21.83 in the Twin Cities and in greater Minnesota.
